True Intercession

Reference Scripture: Matthew 6: 7-14

7And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. 9 Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11‘Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 14 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

True: a: steadfast, loyal, b: honest, just

True intercession is aligning your heart to pray the Father’s will for those who you are called to cover in prayer. Your motive must be pure as you stand in the gap receiving and releasing divine revelation and strategies into the atmosphere. Intercession with the intent of manipulating others into doing what you believe is best for them is not true intercession. True intercession involves the releasing of one’s own motive, habits, hang-ups and ideas about how things should be, but rather what is the heart of the Father concerning His divine will for a particular person, place or thing.

True intercession is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Sovereign God. As He hung on the cross, this very act exemplifies true intercession. It was in this very moment that He stood in proxy for all of mankind, taking on every sin, sickness and disease imaginable. Jesus Christ, King of King and Lord of Lords, humbly pushed past self and stood in the gap as a mediator between us and the Father. Today, at this very instant He is seated at the right hand of the Father making true and honest intercession for all of mankind.

The next time you are led to pray and intercede for others, remember to push past self and what you may desire and align your heart and spirit to flow and intercede according to the heartbeat of the Sovereign Father.

In Celebration of Pentecost Sunday 2013

Acts 2:1-4  "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." NKJV

Acts Chapter 2

Fresh rain, fresh wind moving through the sky,
coming so quickly there's no where to run
and hide.

Caught off guard no place to go, you stand
at attention trying to focus with your
nervous soul.

The time has come, here comes the release,
no time to be like Gideon and lay out
the fleece.

Thought God forgot? You know these are the
last days. When He pours out His spirit
upon all flesh and leads us into His ways.

Now full of His spirit, your life begins
to change. You're now walking in the
boldness and authority of Jesus name.

Emerge 2013

The true ride or die saints are now emerging from their caves.

e.merge
1. To rise from or as if from immersion: Sea mammals must emerge periodically to breathe.
2. To come forth from obscurity: new leaders who may emerge.
3. To become evident: The truth emerged at the inquest.
4. To come into existence.

Spiritual Eclispe-2013

Habakkuk 2:14
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. “  NIV

Isaiah 60:2
See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” NIV

Upon rising Saturday morning, I noticed that the unbalance that I felt in the realm of the spirit the previous day had indeed passed away. There was such a sweet presence, such a stillness that it could not be denied. The atmosphere had shifted and it was going to be an awesome, awesome day.  As I waited for the Father to speak, I got up from my bed and then went into my quiet place.

Moments later I heard the voice of the Father say that a “Spiritual Eclipse” had occurred in the wee morning hours, right before He had awakened me from my sleep the first time. As I began to ponder on what I heard, instantly a vision of what occurred was before my eyes.
In the vision, I saw the earth surrounded by complete darkness. Moments later, the light of the Father’s presence began to shine forth and fill the darkness with iridescent colors.  As the presence of the Father covered and then surrounded the earth, I heard “My grace is covering the earth and protecting it from the enemy.”  Once these words were spoken the vision was gone and I began to pray as I walked into my office to look up the full meaning of the word eclipse.

“An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when an astronomical object is temporarily obscured, either by passing into the shadow of another body or by having another body pass between it and the viewer. An eclipse is a type of syzygy.[1]

The term eclipse is most often used to describe either a solar eclipse, when the Moon's shadow crosses the Earth's surface, or a lunar eclipse, when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. However, it can also refer to such events beyond the Earth-Moon system: for example, a planet moving into the shadow cast by one of its moons, a moon passing into the shadow cast by its host planet, or a moon passing into the shadow of another moon. A binary star system can also produce eclipses if the plane of the orbit of its constituent stars intersects the observer's position.”

Without going deeper into all of the technical things surrounding the different types of eclipses, the wisdom Father released pertains only to the spiritual eclipse that has now occurred and the fact that His glory has increased and is now covering the earth to bring all things back into alignment with Him.

Prayer

Father thank you for the grace that you have extended to us. Father we thank you for the opportunity to humble ourselves and repent for all things that have not pleased you. Thank you for life. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for your mercy which we do not deserve.  Father thank you for your grace extended to us ever so sweetly.  Show us the way; lead us on the path to true holiness. Lead and guide us into all truth, your truth. Order our steps like never before. Open our eyes to see past the destruction. Open our eyes to see past our flesh. Open our eyes to gaze upon your glory.  We need you more than we have acknowledged. We need your touch and we need your love. We need you more than anything in this earth, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Protect your Spiritual Legacy

Daniel 5: 1-6, 18-23

King Belshazzar gave a great banquet for a thousand of his nobles and drank wine with them. While Belshazzar was drinking his wine, he gave orders to bring in the gold and silver goblets that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, so that the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines might drink from them. So they brought in the gold goblets that had been taken from the temple of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, his wives and his concubines drank from them. As they drank the wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.

Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lamp stand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote. His face turned pale and he was so frightened that his legs became weak and his knees were knocking.

18 “Your Majesty, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness and glory and splendor. 19 Because of the high position he gave him, all the nations and peoples of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death; those he wanted to spare, he spared; those he wanted to promote, he promoted; and those he wanted to humble, he humbled. 20 But when his heart became arrogant and hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and stripped of his glory. 21 He was driven away from people and given the mind of an animal; he lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like the ox; and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he acknowledged that the Most High God is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and sets over them anyone he wishes.

22 “But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this. 23 Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

Friday morning as I sat before the Lord, Holy Spirit set a reminder before me concerning the spiritual legacy of writings that I will leave behind when I return home to be with the Father. I reflected on the time in 2000 when I had my first will and testament drawn up and notarized. It was a detailed letter of how I wanted my earthly possessions to be distributed within my family. After my initial will was done a few years later when my first book was published, I added an addendum which covered any material written from 2000 and beyond.

Today, there may be someone reading this who may not be aware of the U.S. Copyright laws which state “Copyright in a work created on or after January 1, 1978, subsists from its creation and, except as provided by the following subsections, endures for a term consisting of the life of the author and 70 years after the author's death.” For each person their divine directives may be different, but for me anything that I’m  prompted to write as part of my scribal assignment has to be copyrighted and protected and preserved for future generations.  Just only a few weeks ago, I read a sad story about the family of a writer who died and his work is now in public domain being used in a manner which does not reflect or honor his family. The family unfortunately do not have the rights to his legacy and are unable to legally stop the harm because the legacy was not properly protected and passed on.

The scripture referenced above from Daniel 5 shows what happens when the protection of what one has been given steward over were to reach public domain. In the scripture we find where the son of Nebuchadnezzar throws a great banquet and has brought out the gold goblets that had been taken from the temple of God in Jerusalem and used them in a manner which greatly displeased the Father. Belshazzar knew his father’s legacy but he did not honor and hold precious the very things of God. The scripture does not show if his father stressed the importance of the legacy, but if he had, there could have been a much different outcome. (When you have time please read the whole chapter of Daniel 5) The story of ROOTS is an awesome example of showing the importance of protecting one's legacy. Throughout the miniseries it showed how the legacy of Alex Haley's ancestors was passed from generation to generation to generation. Because the legacy was protected and preserved it soon rested in his hands. When Alex Haley began to treat the legacy with honor, the blessings from the previous generations rained down in his life.

As stewards over the gifts and assignments of the Father, we have a spiritual obligation to protect the legacy so that it does not fall into the public domain or the wrong hands. Every God inspired vision and plan has to be protected so it can remain in the right hands. When the Father, through the death and resurrection of His Son made us joint heirs with Christ, instantly we became keepers and protectors of Christ spiritual legacy. (Romans 8:17 & Colossians 1:12) Because Christ’s legacy is important, so are those things which we do for and through Christ as well.

It is of great importance that those things which are regarded as sacred and holy be protected and treated as the Father desires and not as something common. This is where Belshazzar made his mistake and caused immediate judgment to visit his house. Today as you are led, please take a moment to assess what the Father has placed in your hands and begin to see it as part of your spiritual legacy. Ask yourself how are you treating what the Father sees as sacred and holy? Have you taken any steps to ensure that your legacy is passed into the right hands upon your return to the Father? And are you willing to release your legacy to your heirs at the appointed time? These questions and more can only be answered when you not only understand but embrace the magnitude of what the Father has placed in your hands as something special, sacred and holy.

Your spiritual legacy when protected and preserved, will have a greater opportunity to blossom and become the blessing that the Father has truly destined it to be.

Blessings and Love,
