Intercede for the lost and those who have fallen away from Christ

Moments ago I finished reading an article about a very influential Christian man who turned back into the world. Immediately I began to cry as I pressed into intercession for him. While I prayed, I sensed the heart of the Father grieved that someone who said that they loved and honored Him would in a matter of a few short years turn back as if they never been in a relationship at all. Beloved this is not a post to bring condemnation, however it is one to help raise awareness that we have truly entered the times where many will began to fall away and their love will wax cold for the true and living God.

As Christians, now more than ever it is imperative that we continue to intercede for the incoming harvest, but most importantly we must continue to lift up those in the faith who may be facing struggles that cause their faith to be shaken beyond repair. The Bible tells us in Matthew 24: 9-14 “9Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Our lives are truly living epistles and someone is watching and waiting for a sign that the God we say we serve is really real. While the earth continues to groan we must continue to be a light that is not only obedient but also full of the Sovereign Father’s glory.  While many more will eventually fall away in the days to come, let us all make sure that we are doing our very best through the grace of the Father to win the lost to Christ and to also help cover and gird up the people of God who are at a point of weakness in their faith.

Prayer:

Dear Father,

We thank you and give you glory. We honor you for who you are to us. We honor you for all that you have done. At this time we come before you lifting up the lost as well as our brothers and sisters who are one step away from falling away. Father we thank you for your son Jesus who paid a hefty price for the whole world that all might receive the free gift of salvation. We ask that you intervene today and begin to touch lives so that people may have an encounter with you that will change them forever. Father we thank you for household salvation which includes our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and anyone we are connected to.

Thank you for giving our Christian brothers and sisters strength to stand upon your word. Help them to know that someone cares. Help them to know that you love them and you desire the very best for them. Thank you for the opportunity to stand in the gap so that someone can get to know you in a brand new way. In Jesus name, amen.

New Strength for the agents of intercession

Isaiah 40:28-31 KJV

28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

This morning on the prayer line the Father revealed that many of the watchmen and gatekeepers are becoming a tad weary as they stand in the gap for the ministries and assignments they are assigned to. Everyone who says that they are on the wall  interceding but have not done so in a consistent and faithful manner are thereby causing a breach. However, the Father is sending forth divine help from on high to gird up the faithful and obedient and to strengthen them in their inner man.

To the obedient watchman and gatekeepers may you continue to keep watch and remain faithful on your post because the Father surely sees your labor of love and will reward you accordingly. To those who have gotten out of position know that you are not forsaken for you are loved by the Father. The scepter of grace is extended in your direction and your comrades are waiting in expectancy for you to come back and take your place  on the wall.

Prayer: Father thank you for those you have called to stand in the gap for such a time as this. Thank you for their courage, faith and obedience to stand and hold up a banner of excellence as they intercede for the lost and the nations. May you continue to gird them up with wings as an eagle that they may fly to new and greater heights of intercession in you.  Father, we give you praise and honor for each one in Jesus name, amen.

House Cleaning Time

2 Chronicles 29: 15-16 “When they had assembled their fellow Levites and consecrated themselves, they went in to purify the temple of the Lord, as the king had ordered, following the word of the Lord. The priests went into the sanctuary of the Lord to purify it. They brought out to the courtyard of the Lord’s temple everything unclean that they found in the temple of the Lord. The Levites took it and carried it out to the Kidron Valley.”

Psalm 51:1 “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.”

Ezekiel 36:25-27 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

2 Corinthians 7:1 “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.”

James 4:8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

I was awakened at 3:30 AM this morning and immediately began to pray in the spirit. This was not an odd occurrence because for the last couple of years until the recent changing of the guard I had been assigned to the fourth watch of the night.

As I bowed from the weight and sorrow of what was being released during this time, a clear vision began to materialize. Father began revealing in greater clarity what some already know has begun to take place within the lives of His children.  Father used one of my childhood homes in Wisconsin as an analogy. In the vision, I was shown how on Saturday mornings, my mother would gather her six children and everyone had to help clean our home from top to bottom including the basement and backyard.

Everyone had their own assignments and knew what they were to clean before we started. My daddy took the clothes to the Laundromat during the times we did not have an in home washer or dryer.  The two eldest boys had their room, the backyard and the basement. I had the kitchen, living room and entryway. My younger sister had the only bathroom and our shared bedroom. My two youngest brothers had their shared room and the family den upstairs. Everyone was expected to do a through cleaning, so we could get to what we enjoyed as a family and that was sitting down to the weekly Saturday movie matinee and some of mama’s freshly stove popped pop corn and a tumbler of Kool-Aid.

Because we did this type of cleaning once a week, it was not such a difficult task. But on occasion while cleaning depending on the season we were in we will find bugs, and other undesirables who decided to find their final resting place in or around our home. Because this was our home and what we considered a place of safety, it was our job to get rid of and dispose of those things found that did not belong. Once we finished and everything was cleaned and put away, mama would do a walk through to make sure that what we said lined up with what we were assigned to do. In the end we always knew everything went well with her inspection because she would then go into the kitchen and pull out the oil and popcorn to make huge bowls of popcorn for everyone. (End of vision)

Now that we’ve entered a brand new season, Father is yet continuing as before periodic house cleaning inspections for His children. It is our responsibility both individually and corporately to adhere to this necessary house cleaning. Not only is this of great importance but it is imperative that we embrace this process in an effort to stay in sync and in tune with the flow of the Father’s spirit.  Just as with any manufacturer, Father desires that those whom He created with His very own hands are operating and functioning in the manner for which they have been uniquely designed.

If you are not sure of where to begin or how to start, pray and ask Holy Spirit to show you the rooms in your home or areas around your property that may need some special attention. This time clean house as if your destiny depended on it, for truly my dear brothers and sisters, a time for major house cleaning is upon us.

True Intercession

Reference Scripture: Matthew 6: 7-14

7And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. 8 So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. 9 Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11‘Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 14 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

True: a: steadfast, loyal, b: honest, just

True intercession is aligning your heart to pray the Father’s will for those who you are called to cover in prayer. Your motive must be pure as you stand in the gap receiving and releasing divine revelation and strategies into the atmosphere. Intercession with the intent of manipulating others into doing what you believe is best for them is not true intercession. True intercession involves the releasing of one’s own motive, habits, hang-ups and ideas about how things should be, but rather what is the heart of the Father concerning His divine will for a particular person, place or thing.

True intercession is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Sovereign God. As He hung on the cross, this very act exemplifies true intercession. It was in this very moment that He stood in proxy for all of mankind, taking on every sin, sickness and disease imaginable. Jesus Christ, King of King and Lord of Lords, humbly pushed past self and stood in the gap as a mediator between us and the Father. Today, at this very instant He is seated at the right hand of the Father making true and honest intercession for all of mankind.

The next time you are led to pray and intercede for others, remember to push past self and what you may desire and align your heart and spirit to flow and intercede according to the heartbeat of the Sovereign Father.

There are many spiritual eardrums being opened

Early morning as I listened  to some worship music  while working on a project, I began to hear in the spirit several popping sounds one right after the other. As I waited for the revelation to come, the word of the Lord came forth short and to the point.

"There are many spiritual eardrums being opened." 3:47AM

Following is a blog post on the Eardrum

The natural human eardrums:
Are like an omnidirectional microphone. The sound pressure moves the membrane (diaphragm) from one side.

The eardrum, or tympanic membrane, is a thin, cone-shaped membrane that separates the external ear from the middle ear in humans and other tetrapods. Its function is to transmit sound from the air to the ossicles inside the middle ear, and then to the oval window in the fluid-filled cochlea. Hence, it ultimately converts and amplifies vibration in air to vibration in fluid. The malleus bone bridges the gap between the eardrum and the other ossicles.

In addition to our natural ears we also have a spiritual ear which operates within our spirit man. (Inward witness of the Holy Spirit) Psalm 42:7 reveals that "Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me." In other words, you can be in the midst of a conversation with someone while listening with your natural ears, but when the Father begins to speak to that deep place within you, His voice will come through crystal clear in your spiritual ear.

When it comes to hearing in the spirit there are many dimensions and also frequencies which we can hear. There are some good and some bad, but we'll save that information for another time. First, when we initially accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, there is a knowing that we have heard the voice of God to accept the call of salvation. Then, as we mature and grow in our walk with the Lord, we begin to experience varying levels of hearing the voice of the Father. In 1 Samuel 3:10 it reads, "The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" Then Samuel said, "Speak, for your servant is listening." This was a new place of hearing for the young Samuel, but once he heard the voice of the Lord and answered, from that point forward none of his words fell to the ground because he sought to clearly hear the Father's voice.

Now think for a moment, when was the last time you sat quiet and still for longer than a few minutes?

And how long did it take for you to quiet down all of the inner chatter so you could clearly hear the Father's voice?

As you set your heart this year to spend more time sitting at the feet of the Father, the more you'll become acclimated to listening and understanding His heartbeat and voice. Our Father is a multidimensional God and His wisdom is as deep as it is wide. Romans 11:33 says it best "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!" Truly there is no one living upon the earth today who can figure God out completely. But praise God for He has made Himself open and readily available to those who desire to get to know Him in a greater way.

August 22, 2012 2:21 PM

*Note* This word from August 22, 2012 was inadvertently not posted. The message in its entirety is still relevant for today.

Father just dropped this in my spirit. As people of God we have been giving the enemy too much publicity. He does not need to go out to hire a marketing team to promote his agenda because we assist him in every way with the words that we release about what he is doing. Understand, this is not about the strategic planning that is needed to sever the plans of the enemy in the earth, but more so about the day to day general conversations we engage in concerning what the enemy does.

Father has released over and over in the last few months through many of His Apostolic and Prophetic vessels that we are to keep our focus during this time of transition in the earth. It does not matter what it is that comes to shake our faith, we must plant our feet firmly on the word of God, straighten our backs out, hold our heads up and look straight ahead and Focus, Focus, Focus.

For those on the very front lines, it is imperative that you maintain and keep focused because, those who are following behind you will respond and react according to how they see you respond and react to things. Be encouraged and know that the word of God is tried and true when it say that “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." (2 Corinthian 10:3-5)

FOCUS and complete the work

This morning in intercession for the Body of Christ, Father led me to intercede concerning an increase in the spirit of Sanballat and Tobiah that has been moving forth rapidly not only in the Body  but also in natural families as well. This word serves as a message of encouragement for those who not only have been victims of the spirit of sabotage but also for those who have also unknowingly worked to self sabotage God's plans for their own lives.

When dealing with this spirit, some of the major key components you can use when breaking and destroying the fruit of this work is through daily prayer, intercession, fasting, repentance and lastly embracing the process of forgiveness. No matter if your role was that of the transgressor or the victim, know that today is a brand new day and this spirit will no longer have free access to work in or against your life.

Following is the scriptural reference from the book of Nehemiah that you can read at your leisure. Know that the plans and work of God that you have been assigned to do here in the earth will reach its completion as you set your focus on the Sovereign Father.

Opposition to the Rebuilding
Nehemiah 4 NIV

1When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, 2and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?” 3Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, “What they are building—if even a fox climbed up on it, he would break down their wall of stones!” 4Hear us, O our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. 5Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders.

6So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart.7But when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites and the men of Ashdod heard that the repairs to Jerusalem’s walls had gone ahead and that the gaps were being closed, they were very angry. 8They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. 9But we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night to meet this threat. 10Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.”

11Also our enemies said, “Before they know it or see us, we will be right there among them and will kill them and put an end to the work.” 12Then the Jews who lived near them came and told us ten times over, “Wherever you turn, they will attack us.”13Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. 14After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” 15When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his own work.

16From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah 17who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, 18and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me. 19Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall.

20Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!” 21So we continued the work with half the men holding spears, from the first light of dawn till the stars came out. 22At that time I also said to the people, “Have every man and his helper stay inside Jerusalem at night, so they can serve us as guards by night and workmen by day.” 23Neither I nor my brothers nor my men nor the guards with me took off our clothes; each had his weapon, even when he went for water.

Further Opposition to the Rebuilding
Nehemiah 6 NIV

1 When word came to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab and the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall and not a gap was left in it—though up to that time I had not set the doors in the gates— 2 Sanballat and Geshem sent me this message: “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages on the plain of Ono.”But they were scheming to harm me; 3 so I sent messengers to them with this reply: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?” 4 Four times they sent me the same message, and each time I gave them the same answer.5 Then, the fifth time, Sanballat sent his aide to me with the same message, and in his hand was an unsealed letter

6 in which was written: “It is reported among the nations—and Geshem says it is true—that you and the Jews are plotting to revolt, and therefore you are building the wall. Moreover, according to these reports you are about to become their king 7 and have even appointed prophets to make this proclamation about you in Jerusalem: ‘There is a king in Judah!’ Now this report will get back to the king; so come, let us confer together.”8 I sent him this reply: “Nothing like what you are saying is happening; you are just making it up out of your head.”9 They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.”[But I prayed,] “Now strengthen my hands.”

10 One day I went to the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home. He said, “Let us meet in the house of God, inside the temple, and let us close the temple doors, because men are coming to kill you—by night they are coming to kill you.”11But I said, “Should a man like me run away? Or should one like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!” 12 I realized that God had not sent him, but that he had prophesied against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. 13 He had been hired to intimidate me so that I would commit a sin by doing this, and then they would give me a bad name to discredit me.14 Remember Tobiah and Sanballat, O my God, because of what they have done; remember also the prophetess Noadiah and the rest of the prophets who have been trying to intimidate me.

The Completion of the Wall

15 So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. 16 When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.17 Also, in those days the nobles of Judah were sending many letters to Tobiah, and replies from Tobiah kept coming to them. 18 For many in Judah were under oath to him, since he was son-in-law to Shecaniah son of Arah, and his son Jehohanan had married the daughter of Meshullam son of Berekiah. 19 Moreover, they kept reporting to me his good deeds and then telling him what I said. And Tobiah sent letters to intimidate me.

Restoration Prayer for America

Father God, we humble our hearts and align our minds and spirit with you, the only true and living God. We ask that you forgive us for the times we have missed you and allowed our fleshly desires to cloud our thoughts and lives with things which took our focus from true kingdom business. God we repent for all of the negative and unholy things we as a people have allowed to enter into our country and communities. Many of the things we have allowed could have been prevented if we as a people had taken out time to petition your throne of grace.

Heavenly Father, we repent for the murder of every unborn child who will never have an opportunity to experience life. We repent for allowing prayer to be taken out of our public schools and for allowing the enemy free access to our children’s lives. Forgive us God for abusing the elderly and for mistreating the poor and disenfranchised. We repent for not truly loving our neighbors as ourselves. Forgive us dear God for all of our selfishness and for only being concerned about our individual needs. So many people are hurting and dying right before our eyes because we have not been true lights upon a hill, but more like pen lights in a dense fog. Father, please forgive us for our spiritual blindness. Open our eyes so we may see our country and the world through your eyes.

Father God, forgive us for sleeping on the job and for wasting precious time. We repent for not standing in the gap and interceding for our government leaders and those who have rule over us. Forgive us for our constant complaining and bickering and for not participating in our country’s growth process. Your word tells us to work while it is yet day, for when the night comes no man can work. Breathe on us God, so the flame in our hearts will burn with a new intensity and fire as we set our hands to help complete the work that you have already started in this country. May our eyes be focused as we renew our commitment to serve you God in not only words but in faith and godly works. Father God, we humbly accept this new challenge as our country unites to walk into this new season of change. Thank you for forgiving us for our sins and iniquities and also for directing us back to your heart and into your divine will and purpose for America.
